Famous Weight Control Program

The St. Carlos Weight Loss Program was initially developed by Dr. Anchulee and our R&D Team in 1981 to improve the quality of life of people suffering from diabetes. In 1989, this treatment was further developed for the non-diabetic population. The efficacy of our form of therapy has spread around the world through word of mouth. The St. Carlos name is now synonymous with effective weight control in many countries.

The St. Carlos Weight Loss Program consists of a mixture of herbs and pharmaceutical components combined to effectively cleanse the body and burn off unwanted fat. The herbal component is made up of various Thai and Asian herbs. This unique combination of modern pharmaceuticals and traditional herbal mixtures is what makes the program so effective and free of side effects experienced with other treatments.

The weight loss program is tailored to suit individual needs and comprises of two distinct courses taken for a fixed period.

Q: Who should NOT undergo the Treatment?

Pregnant women should not undergo the Treatment. They should not follow any diet program during pregnancy. If they have already started on a diet program, they must discontinue as soon as they learn about their pregnancy.

Q: Can our preparation be taken with other medications?

A: If you`re taking regular medication, you should consult with your doctor first. But, in general our preparation can be taken with certain medications, including birth control pills for women and drugs for diabetes or high blood pressure.

The preparation cannot be taken with antibiotics, drugs for muscle and joint pain, or any medication that can irritate your stomach, such as aspirin.

Q: What if I`m taking hormonal medicine?

A: You can still undergo the treatment - our preparation can be taken with hormonal drugs - but you would lose weight more slowly.

Q: If I have completed the Standard Program, how long should I wait until starting the Intense Program? How long should I wait to repeat the cycle?

A: You can start the Intense Program 3 months after completing the Standard one. The treatment can be repeated after waiting for least 6 months.

Q: During St. Carlos treatment we have observed many patients starting to lose their hair. What is the reason for this?

A: These patients may have some kind of a nutritional problem. They should take in more protein, eat more vegetables, and drink at least 1 glass of milk daily.

Q: Can the Treatment affect the heart?

A: Normally you should not experience any adverse effects on the heart. However, if you have chest pain or other symptoms indicative of heart problems, you should stop the Treatment and should consult a doctor.

Q: Can the Treatment replace using exercise or healthy eating habits as a way to lose weight?

A: No. The use of appetite suppressant medication to treat obesity should be combined with physical activity and improved diet to lose and maintain weight successfully over the long term.

Q: Will I regain some weight after I stop the Treatment?

A: Probably. Most studies show that the majority of patients who stop taking appetite suppressant medications regain the weight they had lost. Maintaining healthy eating habits and engaging in physical activity on a regular basis will increase your likelihood of keeping your weight off.

Q: How long will I need to continue the Treatment for my overweight problem or obesity?

Because obesity is a chronic disease, any treatment, whether or not it includes drugs, may need to be continued for years, and perhaps a lifetime, to improve health and maintain healthy weight. There is little information on how safe and effective appetite suppressant medications are for more than 1 year of use.

Q: What dosage of appetite suppressant medication would be right for me?

A: There is no one correct dose for appetite suppressant medications. Your doctor will decide what works best for you based on his or her evaluation of your medical condition and response to treatment.

Q: I only need to lose 10 pounds. Is this the right Treatment for me?

A: The Treatment may be appropriate for carefully selected patients who are at significant medical risk because of their obesity.
